Default trunk

hey guys need help. i cant open my trunk even with a key there was a trunk popper installed on it and now it doesnt work. the key turns but nothing happens. i think the cable is not hooked up to it. would i be able to get to the cable if i take the rear console out. any ideas would help thanks.

you CAN NOT get into the trunk through the rear, unless you want to cut and reweld a big metal panel... Other than that, I'd probably take it to a body shop and see what they can do. Do you have the normal trunk release too? The key hole does have rods that go up to the latch, so it probably popped off... Good luck...

what honda did was bust the right taillights and the hole was big enough to reach in there and pull the cable.

Ya when my old del Sol was rear ended, I couldn't get my trunk open either...the key wouldn't work, nor would the latch in the car. It had to be pried open.

Now that I think about it though, we probably could've reached into the trunk and popped it open, considering my right tail light had been dislodged and was hanging by the wires.

LOL yes but noticed how the latch is still locked in place despite the location of the rest of the trunk lid...
