Default da engine

oky doky people, just a quick question, what can i paint in the engine, i know the valve cover but is there ne thing else that i can paint, or better yet, things that i should definitely stay away from paintng. i dont see problems with painting ne thing as long as it is not the hoses (because the paint will probably crack) or getting paint in ne of the INSIDES of the parts but i was thinking about painting the header, header cover, distributor, valve cover, um, alternator, well lets face it, i dont know the names of all the parts but i wanna paint them.

Sure just splash an entire gallon on the engine bay, let the excess drip off. Dude, you do not want to paint parts of the engine that get hot or even are close to parts that get hot. Thats why companys sell colored hoses, and you buy colored valve covers or powder coat them.

Paint everything, as a matter a fact why dont you just go rent a paint booth, open the hood, all the doors, windows, and trunk and get your SPRAY ON. Dont be dumb. :fawk: :fawk:

If you want to add some color to your engine bay, how about a hose techniques kit? I know that this isn't the answer you're looking for, but it's a great alternative.

If you're just bored and want something to do to your car over the weekend, detail it.
