brake painting
i just cleaned up my drums, sabed them, wire brush bla bla bla. i was jsut wondering how perfect they have to be to paint them. i dont know much about painting but from what i understand, the smoother they are the better they look. is that true? can i leave them alittle bumpy because i am a lazy **** and dont care to much about my drums, mainly the calipers. heres a pic, you think they are ready to be primed?

ehh... no one is gonna peer into ur wheels and say "damn taht guy has nicely painted calipers and drums." i just used some 409 and a brillo pad to clean mine and the paint never chipped till i took off my calipers to change the pads

Don't primer them unless you're using a high-heat primer because it might crack. Sand them down a little more, clean them with some rubbing alcohol, and then paint them (mask off what you dont want to paint first).

i have high temp primer and high temp paint. i think i am jsut going to sand them off alittle more and paint them. is there anything on the front of back brakes that i have to make sure NOT to paint? i dont want to damage anything.
