I did my Konig Cobra's last year....

make sure to sand off ALL of the clear coat. Paint with very VERY thin coats and wait about a half hour between coats. Mine lasted through road salt even I used Krylon Wheel paint and PPG clear coat...all in spray cans

I'm thinking of painting my 98 GSRs but I don't want to go through the hassle of remounting the tires. Can I just use black spray paint while the tire is still on? I know it's ghetto but do you guys think it would work?

that would not only look like sheit but be pretty gay too... cuz, unless you taped em off, you'd paint your tires. just have a friend pull up close and spray them while driving =P video tape it too so when you crash, you have something to humor the cops with... anyways its late and im retarted...

I didn't take off my tires to do my wheels, and I got no paint at all on the tires...

I used those index/cue cards that can be bought at any stationary store, and jammed them between the tire and wheel, it works perfectly...

I actually didn't sand anything down, and the paint sticks very well... the instructions on the Duplicolor Wheel Paint can told me that I didn't have to... I put about 4 light coats on, but the actual paint is fairly thick...
