Default Just bought a new car, but it won't start... Help?

The car has been broken into a few times and they jackd up the alarm. The car also came with a b16a3 from a 96 del sol. I rewired the alarm and got it to turn on and off and also got it to pop the doors. There are a few extra wires that I can't figure out tho.

Anyway, when i push the clutch in and turn the key, it just makes ONE click and the instrument panel lights go out until I let go of the key. THe battery is prolly dead but I had another car charging it while I tried to start the car.

Anyone know what might be the problem? IT just clicks once and it sounds like a relay or something. Could it just be a mis wired relay like a starter kill or something from the alarm? Anyway I can hot wire the car from the engine bay? Like run a wire from the starter to the battery or something. I thikn there is a way to start the car that way rite? Or I guess I can always try a push start rite?

Any ideas?

try a push start first. if it does start, then something is up with the wiring. if it doesnt start, then the underdash ignition wire is messed up (usually only a problem with cliffords cuz they cut the starter and ignition)

that sounds like an ignition kill... my clifford did that.. removed the brain and i havent reinstalled it (fixed) in a year lol..

chances are you'll have to reset your alarm.. if its jacked up.. remove it and reconnect your ignition wires how they are supposed to be originally.. and that i wouldnt know.. the guy who removed my brain told me to tape these 2 wires to those and then it worked lol

with most alarms, if you remove the brain, the car will function like normal. but w/ a clifford alarm, you wont be able to start the car, even by pushing it

Update...

I got a new battery...

I got the starter to spin. When I turn the key to start the motor, I can hear the starter spinning now. Does that mean I need a new starter? It makes no more ticking/clicking sound. I dont' hear anything else either other than something in the engine bay spinning...

Help please, I need to get this car up and running in like 8 days....

oh, and about the car, i did ask what's wrong. His car got broken into and they jack'd up the steering column/ignition key and ripped out the alarm. Also he just put the b16a in and only got to drive it around once in the neighborhood. The exhaust still has the gap to the header...

Why did I still buy it?

$3900 for a 93 civic with a b16a installed. lots of other stuff too like shaved doors (handles) with poppers, pretty new paint, blah blah blah, bunch of upgrades.... not to mention he gave me a bunch of **** I can just sell and not put on the car (such as HID lights) and lower the car to like $3500 or maybe lower... I'd say that was a good deal. I just have to put a little work into it.

Car isn't hot..... Pink slip is under his name and carfax matches up with the city at least. I'm a lil worried about the motor being stolen since it's off a 96 del sol. He said he works in an insurance company and they get a lot of totalled cars. So he bought a 96 del sol and took the motor, the seats and the whole front suspension. Sold everything else. Seems like a cool guy. His parents were there when I bought it. Also he got the broken/missing parts (like the steering column and broken ignition) for me. I just need to get it to run now.....

Anyway, I'm gonna pull the b16a and put a b20/vtec in soon.

Back to the help...... someone help me out.....

You need to be a little more specific... the starter is the only thing turning??

Does the crank turn too? What is the engine doing?
