Default Ractive M3 Mirror Install

OK so someone decided to crack my mirror when my car was parked so i ordered these m3 mirrors cus they were cheaper then to just replace the one stock. So im looking at them i have my stocks off but the mounting plate sticks WAY out. The studs for the bolts (from the stock ones) seem rather long... Is it standard procedure to modify this a little or did i get the wrong thing the plate otherwise looks like it matches perfectly

I had to cut those mounting holes down cause they did stick out way far. I also had to use screws cause the bolts won't hold the plastic sail pieces on right. It was a pain in the ass, but they've sayed on for over a year now.

Hope it helps.

Here's what I did:

I cut some styrofoam to fit that hole perfectly and then glued it in there. Then I just covered them with tweed.

Custom interior. :chuckles:

oh.thats right they have tweeters.

i was just thinking about the mirrors i just bought, theyre from the island, so the panel they come with is just a blank.

btw, if anyone searches out this thread 5TH GEN MIRRORS DO NOT FIT A 6TH GEN!!! argh!

unless you have a dremel tool, a sander, a drill, and a cutting wheel...
