im set on getting the b18c5 swap, but i've been told that a b16a will be good enough to hit 14's. what would i be running with an itr motor? i thought with an itr i would be doing mid 14s. im confused...oh and i have a 99cx

yeah you could hit 14's with the b16 in your hatch, but your gonna wanna run faster and that will be done with the b18.

b16 swap usually gets you into the low mid 15s.

B16A would be closer to high 14's to low 15's depending on what modifications you have done and how much your hatch weighs. An ITR motor in your car would probably be in the mid to low 14's. Again, it depends on what modifications you have and also how well you can drive it (launching even a 14 second fwd can be tough).

BTW where were you planning on getting a Honda B18C1 or B18C5 engine? There are only a few legitimate sources of engines - anything else, including eBay, your friends, mechanic etc and you're helping the theft 'industry'.

It's ricer's like you who make me concerned about my car.

"theft" industry? That's a pretty broad generalization of the entire engine re-seller industry. There are a lot of companies that sell legitimate engine swaps and some that probably even try over E-bay. Although I'm sure some are, not everybody is selling stolen property. Seeya.
