Default Front End Conversion Question

when converting your 96 civic 4dr to a 99 civic front end, dont you have to use the 99 4dr front end or are the 2dr and 4dr front ends the same on the 99-00 civics?

usually the 4dr front ends are about 2-4 inches longer than the 2drs, i posted an ad in a local forum and a guy is trying to sell me a 99 si front end, complete. then when i asked him if it would fit a 96 4dr, he just said "DUH"

does that mean DUH it does or DUH it doesnt, cause if it doesnt then why did he respond to my ad when i specifically said 4dr.

and if it does fit then why not say it does??...lol

any help is appreciated.

cause earlier in the year some jack ass backed into my mugen front kit and cracked it in 4 places, cracked one headlight and broke the holes on the inside of the fender where you screw in the grommet the hold the bumper up. so instead of just fixing it might as well change it to a 99 front end cause i like the look of the 99 front but i like the rear tails of a 96 4dr.
