whats the deal w/ this HX? it SEEMS like they are few and far between, but.. eh?

sorry if this is a noob q.. just.. don't get it.. whats the diff?

its a vtec-e motor.

its got a Vtec motor designed for extra fuel economy. They have 115 hp, and became available in '96. '98+ HXs that had automatic transmissions had a gearless Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that worked off pulleys and belts rather than gears, allowing for an endless possiblity of gear ratios.

they had a 5sp man available too, thru 00. its great for swaps too as its lighter than the ex and has vtec wires already. they also came with lightweight 14" rims from the factory

they rims were only 8 lbs each right?? correct me if im wrong

Yeah, the wheels are really light – they're made by Enkei. The HX engine is a D16Y5 which has a roller head. However, the engine runs very lean (hence the VTEC "e" for economy).
