Default Need help finding specific OEM bumper

Hi. I own a '98 Honda Civic HX (EJ7). I purchased the car about a year ago and the front and rear bumpers have some really nasty scrapes from what I'm guessing was a rub with either a guard rail or another vehicle. I've been looking around junkyards and the internet to find a replacement bumper with the fog lamp holes, but unfortunately all I've found is the 99-00 oem bumper. I'm not entirely sure but isn't there a conversion involved to make that fit? If anyone could please share some information on a good site that has OEM bumpers for sale I would greatly appreciate it.

From my understanding 96-98 civics all use the same front bumper. If you plan on adding fog lights to the OEM bumper, they go on the furthest sides of the grill opening. You have a choice of either square of circular fog lights.

99-00 civic front bumpers have one center grill and two smaller "grills" on either side that could be used to house OEM fog lights.

If you want to get a new [98] OEM bumper, there should be a sponsor here on HAN that sells OEM parts.

If you're looking to do the 99-00 front bumper conversion on your 98, then I think you need the front bumper, headlights, fender and hood to complete the conversion.

A quick search will tell you a lot more info if you need it.

Thanks for the info. Just for clarification this is the bumper I was looking for, but apparently it's a 99-00 bumper and I'm not really looking for a whole conversion just for fogs h:

they do have fogs available for the 96-98, they look like this

You should be able to find them on ebay or various online stores. jdmshit.com is where this picture came from... looks like they have a kit for $145

yup, the OEM bumper will need to be cut to accomodate the mounting hardware for the fogs. The bumper is MADE TO BE CUT. If you follow the instructions and take your time, the results will be just like OEM.

98 bumper > 00 bumper

Took me a whole 2 minutes to cut mine out with a simple razor blade...

I had the OEM fogs, but I had to take them out to fit the front mount...
