The AWD wagons in question really weren't that spectacular. The "6th" gear was really a super-low, not for normal driving. As for the AWD system itself, they were constructed to support the power the stock engine put out, and very little more. Swaps are not very practical given that knowledge.

I have also never heard of an AWD sedan.

I know that Honda/Acura had made a few random attempts at 4wd in the civics and integras, and I've even heard of 4wd GSR's in Australia, but their rare. And yes, they're stock. I'll look for the pics again.

When I was living in Japan, they had AWD civics. But I only saw them in the sedans-ferios.

Damn, I didn't know they had AWD civic four doors. I know they have Four Wheel Drive Integra four doors, but those have the ZC SOHC motor in them.

Realtime 4WD. That is where our CRV gets their stuff. For the US, a few of the 88-91 Si Civic Wagon came 4wd.

In Japan, they had 4wd Civic four door and Ferios. I've never seen the one posted...but I have seen the EG and EK 4WD Ferio VTi and RTSi's. The VTi had the D16Z with Realtime 4wd...I've only seen this on the EK. The EG had the RTX dual carb ZC 4wd and the RTSi ZC SOHC 4wd.
