Default 99-00 climate control

how hard is to put a 99-00 climate control on a 96-98 civic?

everything is electronically actuated...you need basically the entire internal workings of the 99-00 climate control, since the 96-98 one is mechanical. I heard its a pretty rough conversion...you'd be better off getting a 99-00 civic...if you can't find all the parts out of a junkyard...

I haven't actually done it though...I looked into it awhile ago and this is what I was told...so take me with a grain of salt

hard



96-98 is cable while 99-00 is electrical
i believe you will also have to cut the air ducts and get a 99-00 heater core

wow, sounds hard. But what kinda parts do i need, i have no problem getting it, i know this guy who has the a front clip of a 2000 sir!!

See if you can get the entire dash...that probably be easiest

just get a 99-00 civic, youll have the electronic heats, din1/2 radio size, and the sweet looking 99-00 front end :thumbup:

wouldnt the whole center console be able to be switched out with the 99 one, then just plug everything up? i have a 96 hatch, and i just bought the si center console, with climate control.
