Default Acura 1.6 = Civic Ex. Same Engine

Ok serious question!!

Asuming these cars have identical engines (Acura 1.6 EL and Civic EX) would there cylinder head covers be a direct swap?

I'm sure it's been done, but not sure. I want to put a Acura 1.6 cover on my civic since the acura one says "1.6 VTEC" which would be alittle bit unique...

However, im not sure if the bolt patterns will match or any other detail that might prevent the little swap..

anyone have any info??

Me neither, I've been drinking h:

you spelled their like there on your first post. I'm a nazi on they're/their/there.

and I'm almost positive the valve cover will fit. d16y7's and y8's can accept the d16z6 valve cover (I think it just says vtec on it?).

plus, EL/Domini = Civic

Ok cool! that's what I've been thinking too. I'm gonna search around on the net to find someone who's done it just to make sure. The cover alone is $144 and can't be returned if it doesn't fit.

if you want to swap valve covers, the 94+ ex cover says vtec on it.

Oh what?! I didn't know that. 94+ ? can you be more specific, so a 94or95ex valve cover would fix exactly on a d1678 ?
