Default LX auto tranny problems HELP!

I have a 99 Civic LX with a auto tranny at my shop right now for some body work. When we were pulling it into one of the service bays, the CEL went on, the "D4" light on the cluster was blinking and you have to give it half throttle in order for it to move anywhere. I thought a clutch pack might be bad, but its wierd for it to show no signs of wear and tear and tehn all of a sudden it craps out on us. PLease help with any suggestions or remedies.

It is at a shop....

If you end up needing a torque converter, hit me up, I've got one sitting in my garage. But check the two plugs on the tranny. It could just be that one of them came loose, or got wet. Is the speedometer working?
