Will 205/40R16 fit any size 16in rim?

The width (205) is good for 6-7.5" wide rims. Recommended is 7" wide.

Right some tires only have a certain load rating. Some 205/40x16" might only be able to handle 800 lbs per corner and a 205/45x16" might be only 900lbs. So check to make sure it's safe too.

I've had the 40 series before on my 16's and they didn't do a good job in keeping my rims from getting bent. I suggest the 45 series.
