Default CEL and a bad CAT.

Well, the CAT on my 2000 Civic was shot so I gutted it out for now. It runs alot better and gets 28 to 35MPg without it. The CEL light was on before I did this due to the bad cat, and of course remains on after the gut... Where can I get a MIL/O2 eliminator to get rid of the CEL until I get another Cat?

2000 Civic EX, 1.6, 5 Speed.

Will the downstream O2 not reading the CAT "functioning properly" screw with my gas mileage or engine?

nope, secondary O2 sensor does nothing but monitor the cat.

Kind of thought so, but wanted to make sure... It burns a little on the rich side as of now, but my main O2 needs to be cleaned/replaced I'm sure due to the cat being backed up and fouling the upstream a bit...

Anyone know where I can get a Denso O2 sensor online for a decent price? Or perhaps a universal that would work just as well?

I have a bosch sensor that is nearly new (5k miles). seems to make a car run slightly rich, but the last one I had lasted 110k miles beofre throwing a fit

I also have a barely used OBD2 OEM cat. 300 miles, was installed and taken off after my stupid CAI dropped the splash guard and sucked in some water. POOF #1 rod shats out the side of the block

PM me to make an offer.
