which engine?
Depends, and actually you just need a 96' and up motor if you want to be technical (not legal). The install is pretty easy IMO but then again I done quite a few swaps in my own cars so... But the first time I did it I had no experience and I managed it by myself except for manuevering the motor into place.
98 civic EX will accept a B18C1 or B16A3 from 96+ (obdII),B16A2 si 99-00,B18C5 teg type R.All will go in eaqually easy with the B series mounts, axles, shiftlinkage, and ECU.The EX is vtec so the extra wires don't need to be run.You can tell obdII motors because they have two o2 sensors and they have the numerical ie:A2/A3/C1/C5 designator.there are a couple A3's and C1's that are obd I.The A3 you're probably not going to find, since there were not that many Delsol vtec's imported into the states, and the C1,well you'll just have to ask where ever you get the motor from if it is from a pre 96 GSR.
