last week this kid pulled up to the shop with a 3" drop on his
silver 97 hx, exact car as mine with dark ass tint. i been wanting
to see what it would look like in person instead of photochop jobs
and i loved it. he said he had skunk2 coilovers with skunk2 camber
kit and stock shocks, still rolling on the 14" hx rims.

basically i just wanna know exactly what ill need to do this, so far
i imagine i would need:
- coilovers
- shocks
- camber kit
need suggestions for these 3, is there anything i need or should
get?

i i definitely would have a shop do it cus i dont know what im doing
and i dont have any friends that are into moding their cars.

You could get GC's on Koni's. I don't have a camber kit, so I couldn't recommend you one. Maybe someone else is kind enough to offer a valid suggestion.

thanks for the input anyways, ive been hearing non-stop raves
over the GC/koni yellow combo, i guess camber kit would depend
on tire size/wheel size as well as droppage.....

any 6th gen have this low of a drop?

After a 2" drop the skunk2 kit will rip up the inside of your strut towers.

rip up his strut towers??

I love the look of your car dumped that low, it looks awesome. If the side skirts were painted to match the car it would look so much better.

DEFINATELY get a camber kit!!! You'll be buying new tires in a couple weeks without it.

I'm rolling Skunk2 c/os and Koni yellows.. goooooood stuff!

I need to get a camber kit, but haven't done so yet.

BTW, his shocks will be done for in about a month that low...

OH, also, I can get everything mentioned but the GCs so if you need pricing, PM me or something. Most people out here will vouch for me. FYI

Also smaller diameter tires. Instead of 185/65x14" tires you would get a 185/55x14" or 185/45x14" if there's such a thing.

i'm running on koni's and ground controls. and i'm sportin' hx rims with 60 series tires.

my shocks have had it.

i'm looking into revalving making the shock body smaller among other things.

3" drop you'll need to invest in some nice shocks. made for severe drops like 3"
