what cause engine vibrations?

Default what cause engine vibrations?

hi , i have a 98 civic d16y8 standard, after i drove the car for about 30+ mins when i open the hood, i see the engine is like vibration, even the ignition wires are moving too, actually everything is vibration under the hood, what usually cause this?

That could be anything!
Just make sure your car runs well when at operating temperature(s).

If you want, you could minimize those vibration(s) by upgrading motor & tranny mounts...

its normal, then again, there r alot of factors in this. bad engine, tranny mounts, bad motor, ect.

i say its normal.

if u were to get solid motor mounts like the poly stuff, u will not see the vibration anymore, only to have it transfer to the cabin. :chuckles:

depending on how bad it is, it could only be firing on 3 cylinders... Or your idle could be set too low.

I have some vibration coming into the cabin. Sometimes it is more pronounced in the steering column and sometimes it moves to the entire cabin as a whole. What should i do? I don't want it to get any worse. BTW I have a 96 Civic EX D16Y8.
