Default Cost of lowering

Since I'm on a budget, I was just wondering how much I can expect to pay for installing a set of eibachs on my civic, or another moderate spring system.

I don't plan to replace the shocks, since the drop would be less then 2". I've heard the stock shocks can last for a while if you don't lower it too much.

Any ideas?

When you lower your car, the camber of the wheel goes inward, like this
/-- \
This causes more tire wear to the outside of the tire. Eventually it'd pop. A camber kit makes the tires back in to a upright position, kinda like this

I dont think you can really eyeball the camber. I got mine professionally done.

the outside of the tire, meaning the inside edge.

as far as installing the stuff.... get some tools and start taking stuff apart

nah, go buy a haynes manual - at the least. it'll tell you how to do everything and whatnot.

I do almost all of my own work on my car, and most of my ability just comes from being mechanically inclined, a small portion of it is instructions

Were you the type of kid who was always taking stuff apart and trying to put it back togeather to see how it worked? or were you the type of kid that when a toy broke, you threw it away?

i personally threw the toy away, but i love playing with cars. i do all my **** myself too. its the only way to learn.
also speaking of camber kits, i dont think there will be any need to buy a rear camber kit. therefor you could get a front ingalls kit for about 120-130. not that that really changes much, it will still cost you over or near 1000 for a good set up. i have Ground controlls and koni yellows, ive spent alittle over 900 on mine.
one more thing, just to support everyone else, you shocks will blow, very shortly after dropped. mine did as soon as i took the car of the jack.

most people blow the shocks b/c they install/uninstall them wrong, SOME people just take a vice grip to the rod so it doesnt spin, BUT it the rod gets a scratch on it, say good buy to your shocks, any shocks, just not oems.
