Default Help Please..Dimmig lights on 97 ex

OK...first off i would like to thank anyone that can help me w/my probem

I just bought the car and it was owned by an older woman so i know it wasn't beat
on...Sometimes when i am driving my gauge lights and headlights will dim then
come back to normal...it has nothing to do with the speed of the car or the
rpm's.and the problem is not consistant..it seems like it happens more down
bumpy roads but i am not sure...Once again any help is appriciated thanks,
Nate

Check your electrical connection under the hood.... If there's nothing wrong there, maybe its your alternator...

Sounds to me as the voltage regulator in your alternator is about to crap out. Take your cah somewhere to get it checked. Certain "rice shops" AKA Pep-Boys, Advance, and
Autozone do it for free.

My 98 EX left the dealer lot with the same problem. They ended up replacing the alternator, problem went bye bye.

NOTE: My car was supposedly "Certified" too, I'd like to say it was "certifiably f'ed up"

Mine does it....I have a new alternator. Too cold to even look for bad grounds even though I'm sure that's what it is. Hasn't done it in about 2 months though.
