Default 1st OR 2nd gen b16a for my EG6

What's better in terms of lifetime, quality and performance between:
- 1st Gen b16a (from CRX's)
- 2nd Gen b16a (from SiR)

If you were me, what would you choose? Is there any difference in the price of these two motors?

2nd gen. by the time you get the first gen up to date you will have spent damn near the same money.

2nd gen. Also, isn't it illegal to put an older motor in a newer car?
