92 Civic Si cruise control help. . . please. . .
Hi all, need a little help, I have a 92 honda civic Si with a D16Y8 motor. The car doesn't have cruise control attatched to it but I want to add it on. My friend is giving me his cruise control off his 96 civic ex. I'm hoping my body harness is just a plug and play, One vaccum hose goes to the intake manifold but anyone know where the other vacuum hose goes to???
Just trying to find out if anyone knows if the connectors for the eg and ek are the same and vaccuum hose routing.
Thanks

If I was you I'd pay close attention, take notes, while you remove it from your friends car.
Not sure about the vac. line, etc. but in addition to the motor under the hood and it's linkage cables, I believe you'll need the control unit that's located under the dash, behind the main/fuel relay (remove it first to see better). Might be a real bitch to remove the control unit, not sure, as the lower bolt is easily accessible but I think there's another bolt up top, and I couldn't even see it (let alone reach it) when I was working under there to repair my sunroof drain tube.
From my perspective it would be more trouble than it's worth, but I don't do that much highway driving
Best of luck though.
