The only 5speed I ever owned was a geo metro 3-door. I remember burning the clutch on that one h:

before the clutch went out, I could start moving from 3rd or 4th gear. Maybe even 5th. I can't remember. Keep in mind this was a 3-cylinder (yes, three)

I doubt you'll be able to get it perfectly flat with a grinder. Just go have it resurfaced.

Just take it to napa and trade it in for a resurfaced one. They usually already have them resurfaced and ready for trade for about 30-50 bucks. It's about the same price you'll pay for resurfacing, but you don't have to drop it off and pick it up the next day you can get it and get the job done the same day.

If you're going to sell the car anyway, then just go easy on the clutch until you sell it. If you absolutely HAVE to change the clutch, then just swap out the friction disc and leave everything else alone.

Hey, I've still got the D15B7 and B18C1 stock disks and pressure plates. I know the D15B7 one is ok, but not sure about the B18C1... if you want them, lemme know.

They use the same disc for the B7 as the Z6... Just a tidbit of info!
