My shift light on my car, the stock one, really only comes on form first and seconde, and most of the time form 2nd to 3rd, but form 3rd to 4th it wont ocme on and fomr 4ht to 5th. WHat could it be? Is in my ECU maybe? I know that the ligh works. Anyhelp will be good. Thanxs

 

It's all based on the rpm and the amount of gas you're giving it. If you let it coast at a high rpm in 3rd it should light up. But if you then floor it, it will go out until you get it revved up higher. Weird, but true.

my cousin's 92 cx hatch has a shift light. it's a little green arrow that points up. looks like a turn signal indicator but pointing up

 

I think it's just a CX thing, and the 4th gens had em. At least my CRX did...

 

I guess, my freinds 87 Civ SI doesn't have it. I was wondering since i hvae a CX which means htat i hvae no Tach when i put mine in can i hook up my Shift light to my stock one??

I will post a pic of the light so that u can see it, but i think it is just finiky thats all. BUt where do u hook up an aftermarket shift light to???
