Default 2 10" subs or 1 12" sub

I want to add a sub setup behind the seats of my 1993 Del Sol. What are you alls opinions. I already have the amp, I haven't decided on whether two 10" subs or one 12" sub. The output will probably be the same, somewhat. I have a Pioneer GM-X742 Amplifier. It puts out 80x2 at 4 ohms, 120x2 at 2 ohms, and 400x1 at 2 ohms. So I can go one or two subs. All replies are appreciated. Remember space is limited, the setup is going behind my seats. Anyone with the same type setups will you please include pictures? Thanks!!

12's are REALLY tough to fit back there because of the height. If you are looking for a stealth box, let me know. I have a friend looking to get rid of one. Also, the amp you have might not be what you need. The higher the power, the better the damping effect it has on the speakers. Basically it controls the motion of it better, thus giving you a tighter, cleaner sound. I have a 300X2 running my two 12's in the trunk, and I'd like to go higher. I don't want it any louder, I jsut want a tighter sound. Oh, I went to school for recording, so I've studied amplifiers and speakers pretty extensively, so I know the inner workings and physics of them quite well... Just letting you know I'm not talking out of my ass...

go two 10" for SURE because the set up behind your seats will look a little bit cleaner... as far as ampage, soltaker probably got that taken care of with his phd in that department... i have one 8" microsub by JL behind me but i'm thinking of putting another 8" micro if i can get the ends... make sure to take pics when you're done and POST!!!

I'm not sure. He told me he'd trade for a set of used headers... So, I'm guessing around 200.

WHat size subs can fit in a stealthbox. I thought the stealthbox can only hold 2 8" subs.

can you post pic of "that" JL stealthbox? beuase from what i understand that it comes with two 8in sub and that you can not take the speakers out. that if they happen to burn them you must send the entire box back to JL to be fixed.

still very interested! better than builing a custom box myself!
