Sure it is possible. There are a coupla peeps here who have done it. The thing is that the H22 is a bit heavier than the B engines, so the handling can be effected. Understeer to me a little more precise. But with springs and thick sway bars, it can be curbed to some degree. I personally don't have any hands on experience. I am just going by what I have read. As for price, you are looking at a bit more than a B series swap.

There are lots of posts about this - it affects the weight distribution pretty significantly, and usually I've read that lots of suspension tweaking is neccessary. And it is more expensive than a B series... quite a bit more. Anyone have any hard data?

Probably one of the most annoying swaps ever thought up... the h22 weighs too much, and sits the opposite way that it was designed to sit inside the sol's engine compartment... handling is heavily affected... you will understeer like crazy... plus, and this may just be one case, but I met a guy at the track a few months ago, who had done a JDM H22 swap into his Del Sol, and the weight of the motor had actually began to tear the metal under the hood... On top of all of this... the H22 requires special (really expensive) custom motor mounts to be used. I would never never never ever consider this swap for myself, and or anyone else with a civic or del sol.
It can be done, but it doesnt mean that it is a good idea.

i believe the h22 is 195 horsepower, i dunno about a 2.2i but the accord did have f22's i believe placed in them, so maybe you are getting this confused. and why would you swap a b16a1 into a del sol, cosidering the a1 was cable clutch and not hydro, those were the b16a2 and a3 unless i'm getting really confused here? the 1/4 mile time really counts on the driver. and don't forget if you decide to do this swap i think you will lose your a/c i can't remember for sure though.
