im kind of new here :fawk: and i was thinking of getting a del sol or a civic but if i can only find a del sol S model how hard is it to later swap in a dohc V-Tech engine and what do i need like ecu what wireing? and is it a direct bolt on ?

if you keep saying v-tech, you're gonna get a ton of pictures of phones posted in response, so cut it out! And you can drop a B engine into it with very little enlse needed. Engine, tranny, shift linkage, ecu, and the engine harness... As long as it's obd1, you're basically done...

 

the si is a better candidate for a vtec swap, it's already wired for vtec, also it has 4 wheel discs, and pwr mirrors

 

Get an Si if you can. If not an S will work too.

The S is already wired for vtec, you just need the engine harness, and it plugs in. When I slapped a Z6 in my S, I just needed the engine harness and the ecu! And then all you need to do is upgrade the brakes, and you've got an si.... Saves a couple grand sometimes.

 

Or you could just do me a favor and buy my ride, and go win shows Save yourself a lot of hassle
