Default Re-using ATF(filtered)

Yeah I know, the title sounds horrible but hear me out!!

Being on a student budget sucks. And with the price of everything going up,... it really sucks. Turns out I need to change my ATF fluid, bad.
And being $7.50 a quart for Honda ATF.... a flush is out of the question.

I'm thinking about:
1. Draining and collecting the fluid.
2. Filter out crud (coffee filters, cotton balls, maybe gravel. 5th grade science stuff)
3. Reuse add ATF
4. Run an errand or two. Maybe grab lunch, to mix the fluid from the torque converter.
5. Drain fluid.
6. Refill with new fluid.

Just trying to get all the crap out before I add new fluids.

Anything wrong with this? Anyone have anything against this? Anything will be useful, anything at all.

Oh man, I think its better if you just leave it until you can do a flush. I mean, it'll only cost you like $150, Id just save up until then.

Be careful. When was the last time the fluid was changed? If the fluid is really old it can have clutch particulates in the fluid that actually would help with friction because of the worn out clutch packs. If you change the fluid to clean fluid then you get rid of the particles that helped in friction and the vehicle might not move with the new fluid.

I hope you guys are happy! Ya'll made me feel so bad I'm just going to do a straight drain'n fill.

Total Cost: $28.70 for 3 quarts after taxes.
Carquest bump the price up to $8.50/quart.

So if anyone can hook me up with a job in the Santa Ana/Irvine/Westminster/Garden Grove/Fountain Valley area HELP ME OUT! I'm great with computers, troubleshooting, updating, maintaining and all. I also edit videos(Sony Vegas). Great with people, energetic, outgoing. Can lift 75lbs Willing to work for minimum to slightly above minimum wage!

lol, I was gonna say, if you can't afford thirty bucks, it's probably time to either ditch the car or look for a new job :exnbp:
