to get the HID bulbs (I assume D2R) fit, you'll have to pull your stock or aftermarket H4 rings out, and then glue them to the HID bulbs.

As for the housing, you can do nothing about it. Our Civic headlight housings are designed for halogen bulbs. You can build a shield for the bulb to reduce glare.

also check out http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/special-topics.htm for more info. HTH :)

You need that H4 ring in order to get the HID bulbs fit. :)

Another option is to get this...

Why not just find an HID system which incorporates a projector unit and retro fit the projector unit into your headlamp housing? I think that would eliminate glare and give you the light output and correct beam pattern. Plus it would be cool to have some Audi or Bimmer projectors:naughty:

1 simple word...lazy

i really don't want to take the time to take out my headlights, cut them open, work on them etc etc. I'm just asking cause i found a great deal on some 02 tls headlights with new D2R bulbs and i thought i'd get them if they drop in easily.

also i read on that casper electronic site, it says it's for D2S to H4 but i think the TLS had D2R, is there a difference?

IMO it would be alot simpler to just enlarge the hole in the back of your headlamp housing and drop in some projectors simply because of the glare and beam pattern. If you spend any amount of money on HID's you may as well do it correctly, right?

But hey do what u want :fawk: As to your bulb question, I'm not sure...I'll try and find out for you though.

Mike
