Default Aem tru power pulley set...

a friend of mine ordered a set of pulleys for his 5th gen civic ex but the thing is that he says they'll fit honda/acuras from 88-01, all eclipse turbos 89-94 and 00 eclipses are they the same for all these cars?

Also, the DX for the 5th gen is different cause they use different alternators. I know, I had the same problem.

waht are the advantages and disadvantages of running a underdrive pulley set? for some reason, a long time ago, I remember hearing that they sucked for some reason...maybe not

Underdrive pulleys are usually larger than stock, which spins the accessories slower, which saps less power from the engine. They're also usually lighter than stock, which also makes them easier to spin than the stock pullies. The downside, at least for the alternator pulley, is that Civics usually have pretty weak alternators to begin with, and if you start slowing down the alternator pulley, it may not put out enough current to feed your electrical system if you have a lot of stereo equipment, etc.

I had them, I hated them, I don't recommend them. They were the worst mod that I spent money on. They didn't do me any good...

I hear that the sux on our cars(import) but they do great on domestics. I think u could find a beter way to spend $100+. my $.02
