Bolt on systems are supposedly "tuned" for performance, but I just have a welded setup. 1 or 2 extra hp isn't worth the $$ to me.

I know right. So-called "tuned" or "performance tuned" exhausts are a load of bologna. Find a nice universal muffler, some resonators, and a highflow cat, and have an exhaust shop do it up with some nice mandrel bent pipe. it would be so much cheaper then springing for a cat-back exhaust, and the performance difference is negligable.

on the other hand, if you have a ton of money then go for the Apex'i or HKS cat-backs or whatever.

just my personal opinion though

another good point, if you can get the hookup on a nice cat-back exhaust, thats cool too.

I'm getting a greddy evo exhuast, mind's already made up. I was just asking bout bolt on or weld cause someone was saying welding cuts out on leakage and stuff. Then another person told me it didn't really make a difference but would be better to go bolt on cause i might need to take off for emissions, etc. Thanks for info guys!

Right now I have the old school Dunk, but I'm going to dual N1s here once I get my body kit put on.
