Default Intake Manifold

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum here. Long time browser, first time poster lol. First of all, I just bought an EM1 Si with only 90k on it! I love the car, it's got a decent amount of power when I want it, the gas mileage is ok and the styling of the car is great. Anyways, I'm looking at upgrading the intake manifold and throttle body. Does anybody have a writeup on how to do this? I'm a very picture orientated person and I love writeups! I've already changed out the headlights back to stock because the person before me put the ricey halo projectors in and those HAD to go the minute I got the car home. So, I jumped on here and sure enough, the writeup helped me out greatly! So, any info would be greatly appreciated and I'm glad I'm finally at a new home! lol

welcome

changing the intake mani and throttle body isn't exactly going to yield a lot of power if any...what are you trying to accomplish?....you should start with simple boltons...intake..header and exhaust would be better

I have an intake and exhaust right now. I was going to get the intake mani and the throttle body through www.dh-racing.com I'm actually getting a Vibrant header here soon, so that should open up a little bit more power. Only reason I'm getting a Vibrant header is because I'm getting it for free lol. Couldn't turn that one down. I figured more air that's being brought into the engine would help? I guess not

it would if you had a built motor that needed certain things like a throttle body and intake mani...but for what you got now it would honestly be pointless as far as spending money on those things

your stock IM and TB are good as is. you would be surprise how much power you could yield from your stock IM and TB if you bored them both out in the future. but like flat liner said leave it stock.
