Default turbo question

I need your guys help. A guy that I work with has an eclipse at school(university of arizona) that he has upgraded the turbo on. He has his OEM turbo at his house in Illinois. Would this turbo be able to be used on my civic if i were to turbo it. I think he refered to the turbo as 16g turbo(the stock turbo on a 98 or 97 GSX). It only has like 12000 miles on it. If it would work what would be a good price for it. He is going sell it to me pretty cheap cause we work togther. I would appreciate any help you can give me(the sooner the better). Thanks in andvance.

I thought those were T25's? He might have upgraded to a 16G. In either case, either will work with some ingenuity.

Well a new 16G ( depending if its been ported or clipped) goes for around $600-$700, and with the right supporting mods its good for up to 350hp.

Just depends on how hard those 12,000 miles were. Check for oil residue on the inside of the turbine housing. If there is oil on the inside of the housing then it's either blown or about to blow. But a 16G is a great turbo for a civic. I'm not sure 100% but I think it's flange will bolt right up to a greddy manifold for your car.
