they are trying to sell you stuff 
possibly 5-8hp combined...
if feeling by sinking into your seats when you accel., then no. if feeling by hearing the "hum" produced by the engine, then yes.
in any case, don't expect too much changes in the car unless you redline everywhere you go :P
