Default My 93 DX Project

So I bought a 93 DX 4dr that needed alot of TLC and a cylinder head. I got the car for $1000 though which here in cali is a really good deal. I have started working on just getting this thing to look decent but I still need to track down stock fenders and I am debating whether I want to get a stock hood or find another one like I have on there. The one I have is cracked and a serious POS. Here are some before and after shots of primer work and body work and replacing the trunk lid. you cant tell it needed the body work from the pictures but all the little dents everywhere were pissing me off loL. So here ya go let me know what you think.

The plan is to make it look decent for now and then when I have money I will get it painted two tone red and black. Who knows if it will get to that stage LoL. I will get before and after pictures of the interior when I start working on it sometime in the next few weeks. I get new tail lights tomorrow and I still need to find the right head lights and adjust everything out.

Haha yea I was planning on changing all of the stuff but I didn't think about the side skirts. I do want to take those ricer stickers off though and at least paint them for now. Right now the big constraint is money cause I have been laid off for four months.

Nothing fits! :crazyr: I hope for your sake those are just terrible quality aftermarket parts and the car hasn't been bent up in an accident.

They are terrible quality aftermarket parts and the car was in an accident and had the inner fender re-welded in on the passenger side. They did a decent job but I may have to do some fab work to get everything to seat just right but i can do it with stuff that is supposed to fit on the car. I will just borrow my friends welder and re-weld the stuff so that it aligns right. Like I said its a project. I want to make it decent enough to sell for money towards a teg or something a little nicer the future. But I want it to look nice and not embarrasing like it was when I started LoL.

Gotcha. I'm not in cali, so maybe I'm a little off-base here, but $1000 seems pretty steep for a bent up and riced out EG with mechanical problems.

If I were you I'd change everything back to OEM specs including the tails. You can do a oem hood or get a carbon fiber 1. Yeah, that's alot $1000 for alot of things needed.
I paid a grand in 02 for my EF hatch Si Civic.
Post pics as you go.

Well I don't have any connections with speed shops since I sold my last honda I had no need. and everything was selling high because of gas prices. It is a little much but I am driving the car right now it just leaks oil like a siv cause of the head. It got me out of my 66 chevy truck that was getting 8 miles to the gallon. And I am making payments for 50 bucks a month since I am laid off and didn't have the cash. So all in all its a shitty situation that i am trying to make the best of LoL. I wish I had my 2004 Toyota Tundra still instead of all the different cars i have been through LoL.
