Default civic timing belt replacement

i have a 96 hx with only 24k on it since new. what are odds against me if i don't replace timing belt soon? are there any statistics for this situation?

Take your valve cover off, and take a look at it. Normally you can see it cracking if it's bad. I left mine for a long time before I even looked and it was ready to snap, so it's worth the 5-10 minutes it takes to look at it. Plus replacing it isn't all that hard. Takes a few hours your first time on a SOHC.
