Default coilovers - good idea?

i was looking into buying a set of arospeed coilovers or a set from RSVERSION.COM for real cheap. i was just curious that if i was to buy these if my cars ride would be all messed up like really stiff and bouncy. ive seen some cars, they hit a bump and keep bouncing. let me know

i would stick to the better brands like GC, Skunk and the true coil-overs like Apexi, Tein, Tanabe

i agree...definitely don't skimp out on suspension. the extra money for the ground control or skunk2 coilovers are worth it. i have the skunk2s but the custom rate ground controls may be better for you (not as stiff as the skunks).

Yeah, i made the mistake of buying the "cheap" springs, and i regret it , now im saving for skunk2, don't impulse buy stuff, it doesnt work out in the end.....

Well you get what u pay for . . .With any coilovers I would recommend definitely replacing the struts to compensate for highered spring rates the lower you go the faster you blow out your stock struts!!

Yeah I went cheap the first time with my suspension. Now it's going to cost me more money than it would have if I had just waited for the real deal.

Definately go with ground control or skunk2's and a good set of performance shocks.

I spent almost 2 hours the other day trying to adjust some poor suspension. My muscles are STILL sore from trying so hard...

Also remember you need to setup coilovers right. Having coilovers set wrong can make your car handle worse than stock.
