I figured you guys would like to laugh at my misfortune, so here it goes..

I wake up this morning and after dragging my ass out of bed, hit my remote start. I hear my car try to start, then I hear a loud smash. I walk over to my window, and see my civic half inside the garage. I was not doing so well last night, and i guess i left it in first, and the ebrake was off. When I backed the car out, half my bumper was left in the garage... EPIC FAIL :madr:

Without pictures, I can still tell you that it's not all bad. It's just body work on a material possession you will be laughing hysterically about it ten years from now with friends and family. It could have been worse.

That sucks, that's why I wouldn't trust myself with a remote start on a manual car. It just takes one time when you forget.

I leave my car in reverse (or 5th on rare occasions) every single time I park, so no pre-warmed car in the winter for me. I figure better to tough out the cold then risk the inevitable, what happened to you.
