Default Should I paint my rims or not??

I live in the Dominican Republic and the pot holes here are tremendous.. I would like to know what ur opinion is about painting the factory 99 (I believe) Integra wheels gunmetel and leaving the lip polished.. The wheels I have are the the 5 star that look like a chinese star kind of spining.. They are polished from factory..

you have the GS-R blade/swirlie wheels? I've honestly never seen them gunmetal....which is surprising. They'd probably look pretty good though. I'm sure someone has done it before, so maybe someone can hook you up with a picture.

If they are the Blade wheels, Yes they would look sick gun-metal- or black. Ive seen them on 2 cars- a civic hatchback (all jdm) looked soo good and a Teg. You should do it, you save money and you will get the "looks" just my .2cents

See if you can get them powdercoated... not painted.

Ah, paint them. If you really hate them, you can always strip the paint back off. I recommend you do a good job though. Have the tires removed, spray a few coats of sandable primer and smooth out any small scratches or dips. Give a few coats of a good quality paint (preferably something that can stand up the temperature of your brakes) and then give it a few good coats of clear. Here's a set of '95 GS-R wheels I painted gunmetal on my two cars.

The paint and clear hold up pretty well to brake dust and road damage over the year. In the spring I usually redo them just so they look good. Only take a few hours. You can try not painting the lip but I probably would. It may not look right because those wheel don't really have a lip (like a spoked wheel would). Seeya.
