my nephew installed projector halos on my '97 civic, but when he wired up the halo wires to the side markers the headlights wouldn't work, so we left them unattached for now, any suggestions?

 

You prolly did a shitty job with the wiring. You gotta make sure that the wiring is tight. Did you connect both the + and -? Did you connect all the harnesses back? Try disconnecting the halos and see if the headlights will light up. FIY, you should either solder or make a crimp connection to make it solid, instead of just twisting the wires together.
