I think this one depends on the look you're going for...taking the back seats out isn't going to save that much weight, and then neither is removing some extra carpeting. I took the back seats out, but with the trunk carpeting and interior trim, it looked awkward. I vote for gutting it, panels, speakers, everything but the spare. Leave just the carpeting that extends under the front seats to the rear seats so stuff you put there doesn't slide around.

Remove EVERYTHING except the dash, roof padding, driver seat and passenger seat..maybe down the road get you are racing seat for the drivers side.

You could do like I use to in old car and use hood pins to hold the passenger seat in so you can pull it in and out really quick.

se i dunno .. i considered carpeting the "ledge" the seats sit on since im DEFINATELY taking them out.. if i carpet that and leave the trunk carpet i would leave all interior panels.. i really kinda agree that MAYBE i shoudl gut it ALL.. from that ledge back.. but im still debating..

thanks for all the input!

do the carpet thing but ive seen the panels from hatches, and if you could swap in hatch panels you'd get to keep the speakers and it'd look much cleaner.
