yea ive got the advantage of my father inlaws garage right now, which is like a meca for autowork. Has a nice lift, plenty of tools, massive air compressor in a shed outside, and there is plenty of room to work. The garage is huge, its split into 2 halves, one side is for parking and thats about 2000 sqaure feet and currently holds my wifes 08 impreza, my Fit, her moms pacifica, and her dads 06 rousch mustang, and im sure you could probably get one more in there.

hold the hell up!!! why didn't you put this thing in the shed that's like 8ft from your garage so that you don't have to listen to the thing!!!

Plus now all the dust from painting would get in the motor coz you definatly lack room in there to box this thing in!!!

get the move on & put that thing in the shed!!!

It has twin air cleaners sorta' like on a '71 Torino. I can run hoses from those to the very-nearby outside and not dust up the filters. The shed's not secure. The garage locks (but the flippin' thing weighs 230 lbs which would fall through the floor in the shed), and 10 gauge wire is esspensive. Trust me, I thought about all of that.

Oh... and it's really quiet.

Happy thanksgiving ppl!

Finally, I had some time to work on a few things in the garage, get it cleaned up and put my socket board together. Man, I don't know how many sockets I have, but you're welcome to count them.

I have...
• 1/4" deep and shallow SAE and metric from 1/2" to 3/16" and 13mm to 4mm
• 3/8" deep and shallow impact and chromie SAE and metric from 1" to 5/16" and 19mm to 8 mm
• 3/8" metric swivels from 17mm to 10mm
• 3/8" o2 sockets, locking extensions, and oil filter sockets.
• 1/2" deep and shallow impact and chromies from 1 3/16" to 7/16" and 32mm to 9 mm.

...and they all fit in 1.5 sqare feet with the socket board I made last night.

I gotta hang my 50' hose reel and may have the prime location for it. I just need some really big fasteners and I'll get those while I'm out and about doing the Black Friday thing.

The only advice for anyone out there that buys a toolbox is... buy one THREE TIMES the size of the one you think you need. Trust me. You need it.

The answer is a lot.

I have almost as many, difference being that I don't have any above 19mm :hsugh:
Lots of redundancy in my collection, only recently bought a set of deep wells and now I'm always looking for an excuse to use them.

 Nicely done on the setup, may the car gods bless your garage (all I could think of:shrug
