Gas Guage Problem ?

Has anyone had there gas guage stop working in there civic.I have a 1996 honda civic and when i bought it the gas guage didnt work.Anyone got any idea where i should start trying to fix this?

Replace that gauge assembly... or check to see if the wire in the back is loose.
