Hiya... Well Im back and have another fun question for ya! I dont no if all of you would no much about this.. BUT I am in need of a system for my brothers car, his birthday is in Feb and I am planning on getting him a CD player, Subs, Amp etc.... Whatever u need to make it pound and sound good! I want when people hear his car to turn there heads its that loud, BUT I want it to sound good.. Hes gotta 95 civic also- So if anyone knows what good brand of CD players there are, I think someone told me that tha quality tha CD gets played or tha volume or whatever can be determined by the CD player u get, so I was wondering whats tha best of tha best for a CD player, and what kind of speakers to get him- what kind of amp, and what kind of subs?? If theres more needed then fill me in I cant ask him because he will no im getting him a system, and I cant ask his friends because they will tell him....So im counting on you guys to help me with this question and hook his car up Phat With a poundin system!! Hes REALLY into bass and all that good stuff..... So if ya could, tell me what sounds really good, really loud, and yeah.... Just fill me in on tha best of tha best Like I said I want people to hear him coming and be like whoa... And let me no price ranges, and what I could get by with buying him the cheapest, and then like pretty expensive.....I just wanna no my price ranges, and quality of what I would be buying him....But I need tha whole deal, CD player, subs, amp that whole deal...He has nothing in his car rite now but stock speakers.... Honestly, you'd be better off asking this to all the audiophiles in the audio forum.....they'd be better at helping you, since you'll get advice from people who drive all kinds of Hondas, not just Civics.

 

it all depends on the companys you like. Pioneer, Polk, Sony, Alpine, JVC, Clarion, Infinity, Kicker, JL Audio, etc, etc, etc.

Just remember, what you pay for is generally what you get. Don't go with el-cheapo (read: Audiovox, Jenson, etc)

 

Well it really depends what you are looking for. If you want all around loud but clean sound the best bet is to go with two amps, one to power the interior speakers and the other to power the subs. As far as head units go, just make sure you get one that has alot of expaning options, but it really depends, do you want a cd or mp or what?

There are alot of brands you can go with but make sure you dont cheap out, cause it not worth it. For subs alot of people recommend JL or and personally for interior speakers I like Infinity but alot of people know more than me so wait to hear from them.

Really Good set up 143.3 Db I had the deck for a few hours and entered a soundoff. didnt get a chance to play around with any of the settings so that was with everythnig at stock settings

 

Well I Have a system he might like. Like cobb said the Pioneer DEH-P7400MP head unit is really good an has a TON of different functions that you can play with to make your audio quality better. As for an amp, I have a 2 Channel Lanzar Vibe 250 1000wt amp. It pushed my sub perfectly with the upmost quality and never had any problems with it. Subs..I have one JL Audio 12W3 in a H.O.B.P. box. I have had people come over to my car and ask me if I had 4 12s. The box makes the system. BTW: the H.O.B.P. box comes with the 12W3 already in it so you don't have to buy the sub and box separate and then put 12 in.

Pioneer makes bad ass headunits. I have the DEH-6400, and although it's not the best Pioneer deck, it's better than alot of the other brands comperable H.U.'s

 

Yeah, Pioneer does make some bad ass head units. The one you have, DEH-P6400 is the same as the one I suggested and have other than it being an mp3 player, a few more added functions to tinker with sound quality, and two of the bottom buttons are blue where they're green on the 6400 series. BUt overall, they are excellent head units and better than any other in my opinion cause of all the functions they come with to make the sound quality just how you want it. Plus they have backgrounds and screensavers, hehe. :thumbup:
