Default honda dealer...used car what u think? $2000 94 hatch?

just got off the phone with honda dealer..after about 2-3 weeks of searching online, and in the newspaper, honda called me up, and said the have a civic dx hatch for $2,500. I said I wanted one for $1000-$1500. He said he found one, but not at that price. He said if I didn't want it, it's going to a wholesale dealer. I said what about $2K. then he was like he don't think he can. I was like sell it then....hung up the phone. He called me back 5 minutes later, said he talked to his manager, and said $2K he'll do it. So what you think? I have an si engine ready to go in, but for $2K with 135,000 miles worth it? Should I try to haggle lower? if yeah, to what price? He seems hesitant even at $2,400. Or should I just let it go....have to meet him tomorrow...so quick replies would help.

I think it's worth it, do it! $2000 is a pretty GOOD deal, I'd jump on it.

As long as it's in good shape, no major dents, I'd go for it.

he said there was no collision damage. There are dents and he said it's not in showroom condition....but who would expect it to be.
