so how well does a vis carbon splitter handle new england winter???? my bro has me wondering

 

VIS hoods are gel coated, they should hold up in any weather just fine.

 

How long could one expect a cf hood to last before it starts to do things like haze and wave and discolor?

 

crappy c/f does that, ie arospeed hoods.. my old ViS hood hazed in a matter of a month and a half, i returned it for warrenty and got a better one out of them with the rolled edges, had it for about 4 months on the car now, nothing is wrong w/ it. its gel coated, not clear coated.

 

Whats the difference between gel coat and clear coat? How is the fitment?

 

this is my old one. it didnt have rolled edges just had a black outline boarder, probably cant even see it in the pic.



this is the new one b4 my car started its change. you can follow the fender and the hood, the hood dips down alittle, no biggie.



if you look at the fender where fender meets the headlight and hood, its a little too close, well, actually, really close, but other than that its fine.
