I get a little over 30 with a jdm b16a/ gsr tranny. I was getting around 25, until I advanced my timing (+20 degrees) and it is now @ 30mph. Little more throttle responsive. Hell in gas alone It will soon pay for the craftsman Adj. timing light. A tune up never hurts. Sorry couldn't help w/cooling comment.

Yet a turbo'd Del Sol will still get great mileage while being very fast - a Ferrari or Lambo gets... lets see... 7-9 mpg? lol

I think the only production "classic sports cars" which get really good mileage are Porsches. Incidentally, our Targa-top brethren... hmmmm...

They get great gas mileage when you drive it very softly. If you get on them, and let them actually boost up, gas mileage drops tremendously. I can burn 1/8th tank of gas in less than a minute, given the Del Sol's extremely small gas tank. Remember that once you turbo, you have to increase fuel to keep up the the extra air.

An 1/8 tank of gas? Daaaaaamn... that's what, about 1.5 gallons in less than a minute? At what psi? Man, I had no idea. And what kind of mileage would that equal?

Im only running 9 psi right now... but the 255lph fuel pump and the 12:1 FMU suck the gas like crazy. That is only when I am REALLY on it though. I have set everything up to run incredibly rich to avoid blowing anything up.
luckily, durring normal driving, i still get between 25 and 35 miles per gallon.
