Is my rear spring bad?
Ride quality doesn't have to do with just springs. Remember shocks, sway bars, and bushing age has a direct affect too on ride quality. I've ridden in cars with super stiff springs and crap shocks and it rode like "you know crap". And I've ridden in cars with aftermarket shocks and crap springs, and it was ok.
But also rode in my friend's WRX Wagon with Tein coilovers and it rode so smooth with the 12k springs he had, which mind you is VERY stiff springs.
