Default Clunking noise from front

Hey all.

Need some help here. I've got a 1993 Civic Ex or Si coupe (whatever you want to call it) with a weird clunking noise coming from the front. It's intermittent and only happens when I'm driving in a straight line. It doesn't happen when I turn the wheel, but usually happens under acceleration and decceleration. Going over bumps won't cause it to clunk. I checked the ball joints, they still seem tight. However, I noticed the drive shafts coming out of the tranny do move a bit (they have a little play in them). I'm not sure how much is normal, though. What about the motor mounts? Are those easy to check? Has anyone experienced this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and no mods have been done to this car.

Thanks.

It doesn't sound like a mechanical problem. Maybe one of the tranny or motor mounting bolts are loose.
